More Fun Facts:

  • I started studying a B.Ed with the hopes of becoming a teacher and specialising in Special Needs Education.
  • I find gardening therapeutic and don’t mind getting my hands dirty. I just wish I could keep all my plants alive!
  • I eat a block of dark chocolate pretty much every day.
  • I “feel” people’s energy. Kind of like a 6th sense. A gut-sussing. Apparently another common TBI (traumatic brain injury) trait.
  • I did hockey, ballet and horse-riding throughout school. Now I do none of those things. I just walk a lot.
  • I’m not a music person. I don’t hate music, I just don’t need it. And yet, it has a powerful effect on me at times. Like when I’m shopping at Pick ‘n Pay and a certain song comes on and I start tearing up and i want to tell the cashier nearest to me to shut the damn sound system off because it’s making me sad. I think music makes me feel vulnerable, so maybe I avoid it. (Shitballs, that was an unexpected truth nugget!)
  • I don’t eat peas. But I like homemade pea soup
  • I like hand-me-downs and I seem to attract them! Furniture, books and clothes – people have given me bucketloads over the years. Second-hand shops are some of my favourite places too.
